Katy Warren

I qualified as an "Exercise to Music" Instructor in 1995 and have taught classes, including Legs, Tums and Bums, Aerobics, Step and Circuits, in various local gyms since then.  Being passionate about exercise and its benefits, I continued to exercise during my pregnancy and the after the birth of my first daughter in 2005.  I was suprised and disappointed by the shortage of local exercise classes specifically for pregnant and postnatal women at that time and developed an enthusiasm to specialise in teaching these groups.

I have since trained and qualified as an Antenatal Exercise Teacher and Postnatal Exercise Teacher, through the Guild of Pregnancy and Postnatal Exercise Teachers (course content accredited by the Royal College of Midwives).

I set up Katy Warren Health & Fitness in January 2007 and began teaching Mums, Tums and Bums Classes in Stone shortly after.  The success of these classes led to me launching my bumpercise classes for pregnant women in February 2008.

I am truly passionate about the importance of exercising, and feeling its benefits, during pregnancy and after having a baby.  Whilst many women continue to take part in their usual exercise, adapting their workout to make it safe and suitable for pregnancy or the postnatal period, others prefer to participate in specialised classes, alongside other pregnant or postnatal women. I’m really pleased to be able to offer local women this choice.
